Chief Executive Officer
Neural Labs Africa
Tom Kinyanjui Njoroge is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Neural Labs Africa, a Nairobi-based health technology company harnessing the power of artificial intelligence to revolutionise disease diagnosis across Africa. Founded in 2020, Neural Labs Africa is at the cutting edge of AI-driven healthcare, with a mission to save lives through early and accurate detection of respiratory diseases.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Paul's University and completed advanced training in Machine Learning and Data Science from Moringa School. He co-founded Neural Labs Africa alongside Paul Ndirangu Mwaura, driven by a conviction that African patients deserve access to world-class diagnostic technology.
The company's flagship innovation — NeuralSight™ — is a trademarked AI algorithm that uses deep learning and computer vision to detect over 13 respiratory diseases, including tuberculosis and pneumonia, at a speed of 1,000 X-rays per minute — 1,000 times faster than a human. Neural Labs Africa has received backing from UNICEF's Venture Fund and Johnson & Johnson Impact Ventures.
At the NGO Summit 2026, Tom brings a visionary perspective on the role of African-built technology in solving Africa's health crises — challenging NGOs and development partners to invest in homegrown innovation as the most sustainable path to universal health coverage.
